Our 9D8N trip starts from kyushu – Fukuoka. We took the 11:00 HK Express flight and arrived at Fukuoka at 15:05.
Our itinerary of day 1:
- Claw Machine Challenge “Yodobashi “
- Yakiniku Buffet – “Gyuta Honjin Yodabashihakataten”
- Christmas Market Hakata
First Stop： Hakata Tokyu Rei Hotel Check-in
Our hotel is located in the city central, which is 5 mins walking distance from the Fukuoka station.
Address： 1 Chome-2-23 Hakata Ekimae, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0011
Phone： +81 92-451-0109
2nd Stop： Yodobashi Game Center
In Japan, you’ve probably seen one of these large game machines somewhere, with transparent windows and filled with various colorful prizes like stuffed animals, figurines, jumbo-size snacks, and more. They can usually be found inside an amusement arcade, known in Japanese as a game center.
We spent 1500 yen coins for 15 trials to win this Kirby figure. Not too bad huh？
3rd stop： Gyuta Honjin Yodobashihakataten
Right opposie to the game center, we found our first dinner in Japan. Gyuta Honjin Yodabashihakataten is a BBQ Wagyu beef buffet. It cost us 4080 Yen for each person. We found this restaurant randomly and it is one of the best BBQ 🍖 buffet we ever have.
There are more than 80 dishes to choose from with a wide choices of Wagyu, beef, pork, chicken and seafood. If you are brave enough, you can also try the beef internal organs like beef tripe, intestines etc. Though, both of us do not like them so we didn’t try any of them. English and Chinese Menu are also provided for customers and you just need to order it from the iPad provided by the restaurant.
Address：6-12, Hakataekichuogai, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka-shi, Fukuoka, 812-0012
Opening hours：11:00-23:00 daily
Final stop： Hakata Christmas Market 2019
We took a short walk after dinner. One of the reason why we love traveling in December is that we can feel different Christmas culture in different places. The Christmas vibe in Japan is stronger than I expected, much better compared to Hong Kong!
Right outside of Fukuoka Station, there is an annual Christmas night market. There are lots of souvenir and goodies such as Hot wine, hot chocolate and unique local handicrafts.. if you buy one drink of hot wine, you will receive an annually limited edition mug for free! Unfortunately, we did not manage to take photo of the mug 🙁
Address: The central plaza of the Hakata Station, Fukuoka
Due to the COVID-19 situation, it is uncertain whether the 2020 night market will be cancelled, please refer to the official website for more information：
